Holy Land: Jordan 4 DaysWeekly departure every Sunday

Itinerary:
Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival Tel Aviv to Sheikh Hussein Bridge / Jerash / Amman
We begin with a drive from Tel Aviv through Jerusalem to the Jordanese border. Once in Jordan, we proceed to Jerash – city of the Decapolis, located about 45 kilometers north of Amman in the fertile heights of Gilead. Next, we visit an ancient Roman city that contains colonnaded streets, baths and a hilltop temple. From there, we continue to Amman for a tour of Jordan’s capital city. Overnight in Amman.
Day 2 (Monday): Amman /Petra /Amman
After breakfast, we leave the hotel for a horseback ride to the Siq (Canyon). From there, we proceed on foot to Petra – known as Sela Edom (red rock). Petra was the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the second century BCE to the second century CE. Next, we visit historic monuments such as the Treasury, El Khazneh (located at the site of a Nabatean king’s tomb), ancient obelisks and an altar (Al Madhbah). From this point you can see the entire city of Sela Edom. From there, we head to Wadi Musa village and then drive back to Amman* for the night.
Day 3 (Tuesday): Amman /Madaba/ Mt. Nebo/ Jerusalem /Tel Aviv
We begin with a ride to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land as well as historical sites and ruins. Next, we head for Mount Nebo, approximately 10 kilometers away. From Mount Nebo Moses first cast his eyes upon the Promised Land. From there see spread before you the Jordan Valley, Jericho and Dead Sea. Continue with a visit to the remains of a Byzantine church that contains a remarkably well-preserved mosaic floor. Drive back to the border, cross, and continuing through Jerusalem return to Tel Aviv.
