Puerto Galera in Mindoro is situated 150km (95miles) from Manila on a beautiful harbor, with many fine beaches, sheltered coves and a backdrop of lush green hill.  Puerto Galera has been a port where ships can safely shelter from typhoons.  There is a great variety in both underwater terrain and marine life.  And there are shallow coral gardens, excellent for snorkelers and underwater photographer.  Most of the dive sites are a short boat ride from the beaches.  With 10km of coral reef, it's not suprising that dive sites are increasing and now about 25 sites within 10-minute boat ride of dive shops.  Diver's can enjoy the many hundreads of species of fish, 450 types of coral and year round warm water conditions.
